So we made it to Haad Rin today....again much different from the last place, even though it is a small island. This place is like a mini carnival, right on the beach. Lots of tattoo shops, restaurants serving mostly beer and buckets. Buckets are exactly that....a small plastic sand bucket, with a mickey of booze, one can of pop and one small bottle of red bull. Mix all three in the bucket, and watch out. This drink will make you party like the carnival town this is. Fun stuff though. The bungalow we got now rules....high class with A/C, mini-bar and warm water. And just steps from the beach. The beach here is beautiful. White sand beach, with crystal clear turquoise water that is warmer than darcies armpits, which is extremely warm. But it does not smell as bad.
It is 8pm and we are passing the time before we go see a live cobra snake and scoprion show at one of the local bars. Should be interesting. Goota go, as my Chang Beer is getting warm. Later......

And now it is me. Today we travelled by boat, taxi truck, and long hot walk to get to this beach but it is well worth the travel.
This place has air conditioning... compared to a fan that blows the hot air around that we had at the last place and not to mention it even has hot water. The other beach we just left only had cold water. It wasn't too bad except first thing in the morning. We also have a fridge so we don't have to drink warm water in the middle of the night like we did at the last place. That rules. My sunburn is getting a little bit better, and less irritated now that I cut off all the tags off my shirts that were rubbing the hell out of the leather skin that has erupted.
We also have clean clothes once again. 1kg laundry/ $1.20 (40 baht)
stop wondering when the hell were going to post pictures... tomorrow.
I like to swim in the ocean, however I keep getting bit by some sort of ocean critter. Feels like one small stinging netal prick . Maybe it's all in my head, because Mike has only got bit once and me now probably 50 times.

Yes, be careful of the sun and heat (I don't need to mother as I see Andreah is doing a great job). Enjoying all the comments (especially Andreah's) as well as your travels. Sorry, Sydney I know your secret also!! Love you both-

ps- Peems was in the living room today when I went to feed her. She
took one look at me and ran under the bed. I handed her treats which she ate so maybe we will be friends yet. She is doing well.
What's going on...mom's crazy and doesn't know what she's doing
This is the technologically challenged Mom ... this is a test!
Mom
OK ... this is now the SIXTH time I've tried to become an acknowledged person on this BLOG thing! Syd says .. Mom, just throw your computer off the balcony! I said it would probably be more appropriate if I just threw myself off the balcony!
Anyhow ... I'm going to keep this short as opposed to the four pager I tried (unsuccessfully)to send about an hour ago. I've loved reading your comments and am glad to hear that you're having such a good time exploring on the other side of the world. Darcie .. listen to your man eh? Get that suntan lotion happening!
Love you both ... take care of each other.

i have been throwing pebbles at you rliving room window to see if you guys were fooling around about thailand, but alas you are truthful, and i will replace the window before you return.
mmmmm....... buckets. katherine and i will concoct a bucket of our own in your honour. just like when ryan savage and i first got drunk at his folks place by mixing everything in the liquor cabinet into our slurpee cups. so we are off to 7-11........
but first, darcie, i hear that a natural way to extinguish the burning sensation of a sunburn is by bathing in goats milk. and give mike a body glove for me, right in the hamstring where he burns real easy. is he wearing his speedo. cause he promised. mike are there fishes there that think you are a whale to feed off of? how many beers does it take to make you streak down the streets at 1 am? did the cobra kill the scorpion?
mike, stu from whistler will comp us a congradulamatory round when you return so hurry up.
we really enjoy your posts so keep on keepin on, and be safe out there. and beware of travelling circuses. love tom and katherine
